1. If you don't have a lot of money, look
for a home you can afford in the best neighborhood you can
find. The reverse - buying the best home in a not-so-great
neighborhood - is not a smart decision.
2. Visit the home not just during the
day, but also in the evening so you can get an idea of the
noise levels and street activities at different times. Make
sure you also visit when school is out to get a good idea
of the noise level of kids playing.
3. Plan to talk to the neighbors. Ask
them what the park management is like. (Would you like to
have these people as neighbors?)
